Builders Supply Gives Back During Love the Boot Week

In April 2026, members of the Builders Supply Company (BSC) chapter of Horizon Women’s Employee Resource Group rolled up their sleeves and participated in Love the Boot Week, a statewide initiative led by Keep Louisiana Beautiful. Love the Boot Week is a week‑long campaign that encourages organizations and individuals across Louisiana to take part in litter removal and community beautification efforts.

Our Horizon group spent several hours picking up litter in the area surrounding our downtown Shreveport office and plant. By the end of the day, the difference was clear: the neighborhood we work in every day looked cleaner, brighter, and better cared for.

Community involvement is an important part of who we are at Builders Supply. Participating in Love the Boot Week gave our team an opportunity to give back in a hands‑on way and take pride in helping improve the area we call home. We’re grateful to our Horizon volunteers for their time and effort, and to Keep Louisiana Beautiful for organizing an initiative that makes such a visible impact.
